W 2024 roku obchodziliśmy 20-lecie przybycia Polonii do Irlandii Północnej – wyjątkowy jubileusz, który był okazją do wspólnego świętowania i podkreślenia wkładu polskiej społeczności w życie lokalne.
Jednym z najważniejszych wydarzeń tych obchodów był udział w Paradzie z okazji Dnia Świętego Patryka w Belfaście. Mieliśmy zaszczyt reprezentować polską społeczność, prezentując bogactwo naszej kultury i tradycji.
Podczas parady nie zabrakło pięknych polskich strojów ludowych, a uczestnicy naszych projektów dumnie maszerowali ubrani w biało-czerwone barwy. Szczególną atrakcją był również Lajkonik, w którego wcielił się Konsul Generalny RP w Belfaście, wzbudzając zainteresowanie i sympatię zgromadzonych widzów.
W wydarzeniu uczestniczyli przedstawiciele Konsulatu Generalnego RP w Belfaście, dwie polskie szkoły z Belfastu, uczestnicy naszych projektów Cooltura oraz Polish Community Association Belfast, a także wielu przedstawicieli Polonii i osób, które chciały wspólnie świętować ten wyjątkowy jubileusz.
To był dzień pełen dumy, radości i poczucia wspólnoty. Dziękujemy wszystkim, którzy byli częścią tego wyjątkowego wydarzenia.
In 2024, we celebrated the 20th anniversary of the arrival of the Polish community in Northern Ireland—a special milestone that gave us the opportunity to come together and celebrate the contribution of the Polish community to local life.
One of the highlights of the celebrations was taking part in the St Patrick’s Day Parade in Belfast. It was a great honour to represent the Polish community and proudly showcase our culture and traditions.
The parade featured beautiful traditional Polish folk costumes, while many participants proudly wore the Polish national colours of white and red. A particular highlight was the appearance of the Lajkonik, portrayed by the Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Belfast, who delighted both participants and spectators.
The event brought together representatives of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Belfast, two Polish schools from Belfast, participants of our Cooltura projects and the Polish Community Association Belfast, as well as many members of the Polish community and friends who joined us in celebrating this important anniversary.
It was a day filled with pride, joy, and a wonderful sense of community. Thank you to everyone who took part and helped make this celebration so memorable.
